  A Complete Training Program to Ingrain Lifelong Desirable Habits 

 Hello, I'm Tammy Thomas, specializing in, in your home training. Your home is the foundation to raise a happy, well behaved and balanced dog. You have a new furry family member that needs your love, trust and guidance.  You can choose to do just 1 power session if you feel that’s all it will take for you and your dog to get and stay on track. If you want your dog to reach their fullest potential then the whole training program is for you! Research shows that dogs are most receptive to learning between eight and 16 weeks of age. This is also an important time to begin their socialization in order to avoid creating fears.   Key reasons for in your home training include;  1.  Less distractions.    2.  Individualized attention for your dogs unique personality & disposition.  3.  Structure and patterns established right in your home where your dog feels most safe & comfortable.   A strong foundation is what your dog needs!   What they want more than anything in the world is to please you, you just need to show them how   

 I'm a ABCDT Certified Dog Trainer with Animal Behavior College, Inc., and have been working with dogs for 16 years. With my full time business, Heart & Soul Dogs I do walking, select in home care, and specialize in, in home training. This part of my business, “Show me the Way” Care & Training, I train all types and ages of dogs. My work with dogs in so many facets and consistency has given me the skills and experience to know what works and the realization that every dog is a unique individual.  Customized training addresses each dogs specific personality and needs. In addition, every family is structured differently, so in your home training creates complete harmony with your specific lifestyle and family chemistry in mind.  I use positive reinforcement techniques, which builds your dogs trust and has long term benefits without any adverse problems later on. I not only train but also address management techniques for your dog’s individual needs and habits.   

 PLEASE NOTE:  Many times specifics in each session listed below, 3 sessions total, may switch out what’s listed due to your individual needs as we move through a session. Below general training plans are outlined, but because sessions are custom, this does happen often.   

  Before our 1st session:

  ~  Please fill out my questionnaire and email back to me, preferably at least 2 days before training.   

~   With a training session a complimentary toxic list & nutrition matters will be emailed to you to post on your fridge and share with family members and friends too! I send this after our 1st session.  
  ~ Any session or sessions can also be used for a problem behavior with an older dog, rescue or whatever the case may be. Call to discuss specific situation.  

  I currently do sessions for in your home training within 30 minutes from my home town of Bolingbrook, Il.    

  Session #1 - Fundamental Basics - Puppy or Dog  - Each session is approx. 2 hours    * It is preferred that all family members are present  ·    1st session covers all foundational principles and focuses on;  * Potty training  * Jumping  * Nipping  * Chewing  * Barking  * Naming toys (a re-directing method)  * Grooming  * Safety - House Proofing  * Food & Nutrition  * Vaccination awareness  * Time alone and ways to avoid separation anxiety  * The Importance of Socialization  * and your specific concerns.  

Plus Essential Commands ~ Learning Theory & Introduction Basic Cues Using Hand Signals ~  * Focus  * Sit  * Down  * Back  * Stay  * Wait  * Come  * Leave It  * Drop It  * Stop  * Place  * Settle  * Turnaround    * along with Release Cues.   ~ We will go through how to apply commands for everyday purposes.  This training session allows you to get your puppy or dog off to a good start and foundation. It is much harder to undo unwanted behaviors than to prevent them. 

  - Cost $85 Payment for each session required.  

Session #2 – To the Next Level - Puppy or Dog. Each session is approx. 2 hours  * It is preferred that all family members are present  * Reviewing all commands    * Adding Distractions & Distance to Essential Cues mentioned in Session1  

 - Establishing the Walk;  * Let’s Go  * Street  * Leave it or Icky  * Back  * Heel  * Hold On  * How to deal with reactivity 

 Cost- $85 – Payment for each session required.  

Session  #3 – Elite Puppy or Dog ~  Teach your dog to be a first class family member!  Each session is approx. 2 hours  * It is preferred that all family members are present.    * Solidify all commands – Adding Distance & Distractions  Adding a VERY important command - Emergency Recall. This one can save your dogs life!   * Address - etiquette, walking, walk greeting, door greeting, manners, resource guarding, unruly behavior and things that come up as you get to know your dog and as your dog gets older.  * Fun games like “Find It”. A tired dog is a good dog!   

 * Nutrition - further explored for the best possible long term health of your dog. Nutrition Matters!!! What the vets usually won’t tell or share with you unfortunately.  * Any problems that may be stirring that we need to focus on or work through.  * add a Special Trick or Two, we can decide together!
